Access denied on My Pictures after installing windows 10? anyone have any ideas how this works?
1)Right-click the windows button.
3)Type in "Services" without the quotes
4)Right-click "Services" at the top--->click run as administrator
5)Find "Credential Manager", Right-click it
6)Click properties---->change startup type to "automatic"
7)Click "Start" to start the service
8)Restart your comp, log in, and see if you now have access
I went to the offending folder by going to Documents. You can get to your folders several ways so use your favorite method. Right click folder. Then choose the following one step at a time. Properties. Security. Advanced. "Deny Everyone." (On my computer after the Windows 10 Upgrade, Deny Everyone was the first on the list. You have to get rid of that choice.) Remove (You are removing Deny Everyone). Apply. OK.
Now try to open the folder. This worked with My Music, My Pictures, and My Videos.
Separate names with a comma.
