How to install Matlab/Simulink 14 on Windows 7 (Work Around)?

    • Remove all versions of java from your machine via programs and features within the control panel
    • Install : jre-6u7-windows-i586-p-s (http://filehippo.com/download_jre_32/tech/4378/) Download link
    • Install Matlab – CD1 and CD3
    • Copy jre folder from c:\program files(x86)\Java To Matlab install destination e.g (this will depend where you have installed it) C:\Program Files (x86)\MATLAB704\sys\java\jre\win32
    • Rename folder copied to jre1.6.0
    • Open jre.cfg file with Notepad.exe and edit text to 1.6.0 – save
    • Right click Matlab shortcut>Compatibility> run Program in Compatibility for Windows XP (Service pack 3)
